A great road but I prefer it the other way ie Buttercrambe to Norton. Surface getting a bit rough in places now and many blind crests with farms and hidden roads so beware! Also some lovely sweeping stuff nearer Norton

My local short cut home from the Main A64 as I live in Norton,I use this to get from the A64 back to Norton, Malton far quicker and a dam site better than the main road, Its average in my oppinion but good open bends in some places but be carfull of blind farm exits !! you may find me pulling out in a tractor . This bit of road is now becoming popular with sports bikes turning it into a race track so now watch out for the traffic cop he hides in a side road near our house ...gets you just as your over the limit coming in and out of town.
Overall its a good run but as always be carfull and ride safe not fast. Jollythrasher

i use this as a cut through when going to/from Scarborough rather than the A64 its a 2 lane unclassified road but a lot more fun and less traffic reasonable surface and enough bends to keep your interest up will do it one day with the camcorder mounted
